Location
Located at the heart of the Exmoor National Park and International Dark Skies Reserve, This beautiful property sits just below Winsford Moor, one of the most picturesque moors in the national park, complete with a herd of elusive Exmoor ponies as well as landmarks, such as the Punchbowl, Caractacus’ Stone and the iconic Tarr Steps bridge over the River Barle.
The Liscombe valley is a true refuge from the stresses and strains of the modern world, complete with views teaming with wildlife too stunning to describe. It is the perfect place to relax and recharge, best experienced in the autumn. Nothing compares to the colour and vibrancy of the landscape in late October, as the leaves turn, the distant stags roar signalling the start of the rutting season, a time to light a fire and snuggle under a blanket with a good book and cup of hot chocolate.
Further afield is the highest point in Exmoor, Dunkery Beacon, this imposing sandstone hill rises up over 500m and gives peerless views over the moorlands and hills of Devon and Somerset and the Bristol Channel to the north. In stark contrast to the unrivalled rugged beauty of Dunkery Beacon and Winsford moor, are the stunning beaches of Woolacombe and Newberry. These popular tourist destinations provide great access to sun, sea and surf!
